How to take friends pictures on vacation

We met Stephanie and Clive Willbond-Hill in Crete last year. We share passion for the greek island and keep coming back.

Stephanie asked me if I could take her photo for her Linkedin profile. The answer was of course yes. I like to take pictures on assignments. Even on a holiday. I had to find time and location.

A perfect place to play a little with the light.

I like to find shade when there is a lot of sunshine. (and around 30 degrees) Both because I need it when I’m working, but also because I can better control the light.

A large unfinished construction …

Location for photoshoot. Paleochora South Crete
An old construction never finished.

Preparation

Peptalk with the model.

How are you today? This will be just fine!
What to wear, were to go.

Ok, we´ll start with the professional look:

Stephanie looking good! The linkedIn photo is in box.

We found a white wall. Perfect for a professional look.

Let the fun begin!

Let`s dance!

Stephanie and Clive has been traveling for a couple of years just not to forget that life is more than working nine to five. (Inspirational!) Since Clive is a freelance actor, he needed some updated pictures as well.

How does this look?
Clive is pro in front of the camera. As a freelance actor.

Some more results from the day.

“Show me your teeth!”

Clear commands!

It`s ok for the model to know what to do and where to stand or sit.

That Diana-look! ….. in the bow.

Its always nice to bring a change on a session like this.

Some pic are also perfect in black and white.

Not so bad – what do you think?

I even had my fiancé with me at this shoot, Ole K at the right. Good to have an assistant. And he did the behind-shoots. Thank you!

Closing up – going home
